Purple Sea Urchins

Okay so my Biology class were experimenting on the reproduction process of Purple Sea Urchins the other day. It was very interesting . My teacher used a needle to inject a salt based substance into the Urchin to secrete sperm cells from the males, and the same process to secrete eggs from the females . Then he used a sort of suction type thingy to place both the sperm and eggs under a microscope for us to watch the fertilization begin. I mean, it's one thing when somebody just TELLS you what happens, and how it happens , but its a whole nother ball game to actually watch it . Pretty fascinating stuff .

Too bad Mr. Rosen & Mr. Parker didn't inform us that they wouldn't survive , until we where done with the experiement :(

Judging

Who can we really judge ? I was watching the Tyra Show the other day, and it talked about how Bi-racial people percieve themselves . One half Mexican half African American male said he would "NEVER want to be referred to as Mexican" because of the " bad name they've given themselves" and the stereotypes that have transpired about them . He said they come over here to tag our walls , and make our country dirty... But what he isn't realizing, is that he's part of that stereotypical critisism . And what makes Black people any different? We too carry a variety of stereotypes, but that didn't bother him. Basically, at the end of the show, the boy ended up sounding very ignorant, and as if he was adding on to the judgmental slurs being passed around about HIS OWN people...Who are we to judge ANYONE ?
